It is then knitted and dyed in Levin, printed in Auckland, sewn into Thunderpants in Carterton (Wairarapa) and packaged and delivered from our Martinborough base. Wear with pride. In 1995 we were a couple of chicks frustrated by an undie market which either had us squirming all day in wee lace numbers or flopping about in sexless granny bloomers. In a mix of desperation and inspiration , we created our ideal undie - a delicious mix of 92% cotton and 8% lycra , cut for comfort and style without a shred of elastic , handprinted in fab original wood-cut designs. From that moment , THUNDERPANTS were go! Thunderpants has BLOWN-UP...... into Thunderwear . A whole range of comfy , stylee clothes for action folk of all ages.
